Sourced directly from the wood-lord himself, this spectacular Pyinma—also known as Satinwood in its native Southeast Asia—showcases an almost impossibly dense pattern of three-dimensional curl that seems to ripple and flow like silk caught in motion. Where most figured woods display subtle chatoyance, this Pyinma explodes with wave upon wave of undulating flame figure that catches light from every angle, creating a mesmerizing depth that must be seen to be believed. The naturally warm honey-golden tones transition through amber and caramel hues, with each curve of the grain revealing new dimensions of character. The pinnacle of what nature can create when given centuries to grow. This is figured wood at its absolute extreme—traditional craft meeting natural wonder.

Sonically, the Pyinma sits between stock Torrefied Limba and our denser exotic hardwoods—offering enhanced speed and articulation with excellent staging and extended treble response, while maintaining a touch more natural damping than the lightest woods.
