Our Vérité Open LTD features Ironwood cups with a Black BBB, steel rod & grille, and black aluminum chassis.
Desert Ironwood is so dense it actually sinks in water—its basic specific gravity hovers around 1.2 and it boasts a bruising Janka rating of 3,260 lbf. That mass adds inertia to the Vérité cups, tightening bass, sharpening leading edges and giving cymbals a “stop-on-a-dime” quality, while the wood’s latent oils make for a silky touch and hand feel that can't be beat. Historically prized for knife handles that outlast the blades, it also burns longer than almost any other timber, hinting at the thermal stability that helps control micro-vibrations in the headphone shell. Expect swirling amber, violet and near-black grain that makes each pair a pocket desert sunset.
