The Atrium Closed LTD features Pheasantwood with Olive BBB, coffee gold rods, and black aluminum chassis.
Pheasantwood earns its name from feather-like stripes that dance across the grain. At roughly 50 lb/ft³ and a Janka rating near 1,490 lbf, it sits in the sweet spot where solidity tightens sub-bass but plentiful open pores keep upper-harmonic air intact—hence the unexpectedly wide stage Zach swears he hears. Historically used on Hawaiian ukuleles for its tap-tone, it brings a similarly tuneful character to the Atrium Closed: punchy, textured lows, vivid mids, and treble that lands with just enough bite. The tactile, almost silky surface begs to be touched, reminding you that every swirl and stripe is courtesy of nature, not a veneer, this is all solid beauty.
