Meet the successor to a modern classic. The HA-6A MK2 keeps the musicality of the original 6A and adds a dedicated outboard power supply for an even blacker background, plus a new pre-out so it can moonlight as a tube preamp in your main rig.

After loving and usually preferring the OG HA-6A to its 300B counterpart, I couldn't wait to hear the MKII. This MK2? Shockingly quiet, at least on par with the HA-3A to my ear, and with simple tube swaps this is the most versatile of the Cayin amps. If you prefer something a touch quicker and less "heavy" than a 300B presentation, the 6A MK2's Triode/Ultralinear switch and KT88/EL34-family flexibility make it a joy to tune. Three impedance settings let you dial in synergy from hard-to-drive planars to our most sensitive dynamics, and it pairs wonderfully with ZMF:

  • Triode for saturated tone and long-session ease and fluidity
  • Ultralinear when you want extra snap and staging energy
