While Head-Fiers probably are unfamiliar with the Tung-Sol KT170 vacuum tube, it was one of the biggest news items in the hi-fi vacuum tube community in the past 5 years. Due to the success of the KT120 and KT150 tubes and their popularity with high-end audio manufacturers, Tung-Sol announced the KT170 in November 2020: a beam tetrode with even more power and higher specification. Cayin worked with Tung-Sol as one of their off-site test centers during development, and gained first-hand experience with the KT170 before the official announcement. The Soul 170HA brings that experience to headphones.
