The new iHA-8 offers extreme value for a solid state amp. I often said about the iHA-6 that you couldn't do better unless you went above 2K, and with the iHA-8 I would extend that value even further. The raw power, finesse and Class A pure resolve make this an insane value, and it will drive literally any headphone on the market, even the Tungsten, with ease. In Hyper mode, it STILL has 1.4 watts at 300 ohms!

Oh, and yes, I think Hyper mode sounds best, but caution: the amp heats up with the sonic perfection!
