The Second option is Queensland Maple that the wood dealer told me was "a set of once in a lifetime slabs." I have to agree. I've never seen wood come to life quite the way these giant slabs do when I pour alcohol on them (just see my YouTube video coming soon). The chatoyance and visual texture of this wood is absolutely insane. This is not really maple, it's actually from the Rutaceae family, which also contains many genera and species in the citrus family. Finished in an ambered UV gloss finish for maximum chatoyance and luster.
